What Is Bee Pollen?
Honeybees collect pollen from flowers and pack it into small pellets, mixed with a little nectar, to carry back to the hive. These pellets are collected and dried to make bee pollen.
Its exact make-up varies with the flowers the bees visited, but bee pollen is consistently a source of protein, vitamins, minerals and plant antioxidants.
It is a natural fit for crested geckos too. They feed on nectar as well as fruit and insects, and a gecko licking nectar from a flower is likely to take in some pollen along with it. Bee pollen brings that part of the wild diet into the bowl.

Keeper note
Bee pollen is a natural product, so its nutrients vary a little from batch to batch. The vitamins and minerals your gecko relies on come from the whole recipe, including our vitamin and mineral premix, not from bee pollen alone.
